Right here in my home state of Michigan on the western side of the state we have the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. When you climb to the top of the dunes you have a rare opportunity to sit, look out over the vastness of Lake Michigan and contemplate how really small we are. The beauty of this place is stunning all year round but in the fall it is spectacular. Pure beige sand shining in the sunshine, crystal blue water that stretch as far as you can see, and shades of autumn bordering the shoreline. This creation attempts to capture the pristine beauty of this national wonder.
