When you are in the mountains you must always be aware of your surroundings and the skies above you. A storm can come up quickly and without much warning, leaving you without safe shelter. While out fly fishing one sunny day my quest to net a big trout got the best of me and I was surprised by a sudden rain storm. Although the dark clouds only produced a soft rain shower, the surprise of the storm stands out in my mind. This painting captures the fleeting moments of the soft rain in the mountains around me.
